Starting. Books Used to Compose Music.

Let us start. We will be using these books to learn composition:

1. The Complete Musician (Fourth edition) by Steven G. Laitz, and its two companions:

3. The Workbook II: Skills & Musicianship. 

We will also use:

4. The Graduate Review of Tonal Theory by Steven G. Laitz and Christopher Bartlette and 

5. Its Student Workbook.

We will also use:

6. Structural Hearing, by Felix Salzer. 

7. Classical Form and Analyzing Classical Form, by William E. Caplin.
